The Anishinaabeg of Kabapikotawangag Resource Council (AKRC) has teamed up with Kenora’s FSET Information Technology to deliver high-speed internet access for educational purposes via Starlink to five different First Nations across northwestern Ontario.

As a result of the partnership, Animakee Wa Zhing 37, Big Grassy River, Northwest Angle #33, Ojibways of Onigaming, and Wauzhushk Onigum will all be provided with around-the-clock internet service for schools and other educational institutes in their communities. The five First Nations join Pikangikum in having the service, which was the first community in the country to get Starlink back in December.
